Key Responsibilities:


As a
Senior Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives within our finance department.

This position is designed for an Individual Contributor, yet it will necessitate leadership across various departments to achieve vital planning goals and enhance the team's future capabilities.

Recently, The Ladders has restructured its Annual Planning, Strategic Planning, and Forecasting methodologies, and your role will be pivotal in sustaining and expanding these efforts moving forward.


Core Job Functions:

Team Development

  • Plays a significant role in advancing our FP&A transformation, focusing on optimizing technologies and processes to deliver FP&A services efficiently while expanding the supporting team.
  • Collaborates with senior finance and accounting professionals.
  • Prepares and presents financial information to diverse internal stakeholders, including Senior Leadership; adeptly conveys financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Develops training materials for team members to enhance their understanding of fundamental financial principles.

Performance Monitoring

  • Generates variance analysis reports and financial models.
  • Oversees real-time financial performance assessments.
  • Identifies and escalates financial discrepancies to management.
  • Proposes strategies for enhancing financial outcomes.
  • Analyzes monthly financial results against forecasts to provide insights into the company's financial health and advises business leaders accordingly.
  • Delivers comprehensive monthly financial reports to management.
  • Demonstrates proficiency as a primary user of Power BI, including report creation, dashboard development, and presentations to support data-driven decision-making.

Strategic Planning

  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
  • Conducts competitive market research analysis.
  • Aids in the quarterly forecasting and business review processes.
  • Contributes to the development of long-term and annual financial plans.
  • Constructs and interprets complex financial models to equip executive management with the necessary insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Engages in strategic projects and initiatives, often collaborating across various functions and locations.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in financial planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or Master's degree is preferred
  • Strong financial analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a quick learning aptitude
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships
  • Independent work capability and project management skills
  • Proven leadership skills in delegation, example-setting, and prioritization, along with strategic influence
  • CPA or CFA certification is preferred
  • Must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)

Compensation and Benefits

Senior Financial Analyst salary range:
$100,000 - $166,000

*This range represents base pay. Additional benefits and compensation may be available.
