Position Overview:

We are looking for a Lead Financial Strategist to develop and manage the company's financial models, ensuring ownership of financial and data analytics while serving as the primary financial advisor across various functions and departments. The Lead Financial Strategist will play a crucial role in establishing processes for conducting financial and data analysis, as well as high-level financial planning. The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is vital in creating and managing reports for both internal and external stakeholders, conducting financial statement and KPI analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting global licensing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of regulatory reports in compliance with guidelines from governmental agencies and organizations overseeing financial markets and institutions.
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting for management, identifying trends and growth opportunities, and presenting detailed metrics that reflect the company's financial health.
  • Analyze and monitor operating expenses and revenue trends across global entities.
  • Maintain primary ownership of company-wide forecasting models (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and manage budget vs. actuals.
  • Develop financial analysis templates and models; aggregate, organize, and summarize data, financials, and KPIs for management reports and presentations.
  • Perform variance analyses to identify month-over-month changes and elucidate key drivers of fluctuations; monitor company and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrating proactive communication and maintaining project ownership.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analytics to deliver real-time insights.
  • Implement policies and procedures to streamline and automate processes, enhancing the Finance team's scope and outreach.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, Consulting, or Investment Banking.
  • Exceptional three-statement modeling skills.
  • Strong grasp of key accounting principles, including accruals and the distinctions between P/L and B/S accounts.
  • Outstanding financial/data analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating, revising, and maintaining financial models and reports.
  • Experience in developing reporting templates and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and other tools.
  • Familiarity with policy implementation and acting as a project manager and point of contact.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to set clear objectives, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively while monitoring progress against deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with various data and analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Experience with FP&A software tools like Vena, Datarails, Jedox, or Prophix.
  • Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite and other ERPs.
  • Prior experience in a global fintech or crypto exchange environment, with business acumen in the fintech/crypto sector.
