Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Senior Project Engineer, focusing on infrastructure initiatives while mentoring junior project engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing high-profile and intricate projects, ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional service, and leveraging a technology-driven approach to implement effective solutions. We are looking for technically skilled problem-solvers who strive for excellence and possess outstanding interpersonal communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Technical Execution:
    • Conduct research, discovery, and planning.
    • Oversee the technical configuration, implementation, and execution of infrastructure solutions across various projects, including servers, networks, email, O365, and VoIP.
    • Take ownership of project issues and ensure resolutions prior to project completion.
    • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
    • Facilitate technical reviews and lead lessons learned sessions.
  • Support Sales Engineering:
    • Review and validate infrastructure project statements of work (SOW) and work breakdown structures (WBS) before client submission.
    • Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions, and unknowns during the sales engineering phase.
  • Assist Project Management:
    • Support all facets of infrastructure project execution, including mentoring junior team members.
    • Collaborate with project managers, clients, senior management, and other departments.
    • Develop user communication for points of contact and end users during the execution phase.
    • Address inquiries related to project execution.
  • Provide recommendations to clients within the context of overall engagement and manage changes while minimizing disruption.
  • Gain extensive business and process knowledge while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Active Directory, including troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services, and Trusts.
  • Proficient in VoIP installation and system configuration.
  • Advanced networking skills, including:
    • Switching (LACP, Trunking, QoS, STP, RSTP, VLAN tagging)
    • Routing (Static and Dynamic)
    • Firewalls (ACL, NAT, Site-to-Site VPN, Client and SSL VPN)
  • Advanced experience with VMware and Hyper-V, including:
    • Building and configuring virtual servers
    • Clustering
    • Virtual networking with VLAN tagging
  • In-depth understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, Direct Attach, iSCSI, and Fiber Channel).

Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise in SharePoint (implementation, configuration, integrations, and administration).
