Job Description

America's Auto Auction – Richmond is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for creating orders and verifying vehicle assignments for financial institutions in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create orders and confirm location of assigned vehicles from various financial institutions.
  • Research and resolve variable delays regarding pickup assignments not ready to be verified.
  • Re-verify delays that occur after the vehicle has been dispatched, but not picked up.
  • Confer with banks to answer any questions they may have regarding transportation.
  • Cross-check multiple transportation online resources to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist other employees as needed to expedite their tasks.
  • Participate in meetings to achieve service and cost improvements.
  • Take the lead in ensuring operational costs are provided to Finance/Sales for customer quotes.
  • Assist in providing financial analysis of transportation subsidies and develop action plans to streamline and reduce costs.
  • Identify and recommend value-added services for customers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years Auction experience or 2-4 years dealership experience preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Solid computer skills, including ability to use Internet and MS Office effectively.
  • Knowledge of Logistic Flow Systems.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required.
