About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer - Transportation Specialist to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our transportation engineering team, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of transportation engineering projects while working under the supervision and guidance of a licensed Engineer (PE).

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination and communication with design team members to ensure the transportation design details integrate properly with the work of all other project disciplines.
  • Design and Analysis: Perform analysis and design involving interstates and interchanges, urban and rural roadways, multimodal improvements, traffic engineering, site grading, storm water management, erosion control, and site plan preparation.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare programming documents, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents as directed.
  • Construction Phase Services: Perform transportation services associated with the construction phase, including field visits, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing record drawings as directed.
  • Traffic Engineering and Planning Studies: Conduct traffic engineering and planning studies to ensure safe and efficient transportation systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: 2-5+ years of experience designing roadways and associated infrastructure.
  • Skills: Proficiency with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads software, experience with the preparation of construction documents (drawings and specifications).
