Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President of Sales will be accountable for crafting and executing comprehensive sales strategies to guarantee optimal market coverage and drive consistent year-over-year growth. This senior-level role demands a strategic leader with a proven history of building and managing successful sales teams, extensive knowledge of enterprise and government sectors, and the capability to close large, intricate deals.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives to maximize market coverage and revenue growth tailored to target sectors.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic direction and identify new business opportunities.
Sales Team Management
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish performance goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team success.
  • Allocate resources and define territories to optimize sales team performance.
Channel Strategy and Collaboration
  • Determine the ideal mix of direct and indirect sales channels by sector and geography.
  • Encourage strong collaboration with product experts, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Market Penetration and Expansion
  • Implement strategies to enhance market share in existing territories and expand into new markets or segments.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments to guide sales strategies.
Key Account Management and Growth
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts requiring focused attention.
  • Develop specific strategies for engaging and growing these accounts, ensuring long-term success and loyalty.
Sales Operations and Effectiveness
  • Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets and KPIs.
  • Utilize CRM systems and data analytics to monitor customer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics.
Financial Management
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Create accurate sales forecasts to guide executive management decision-making.
Reporting and Insights
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and insights to senior management.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform sales strategies and enhance team performance.
Compliance and Reporting
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulations affecting enterprise and government sales.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of executive experience as a Director/Senior Vice President of Sales or in a similar senior sales leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of enterprise and government markets, including procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing large, complex sales deals with state, federal, and commercial enterprise clients.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Experience in the security industry with HaaS & SaaS background.
