Position Overview:
The Vice President of Regional Operations for the Northeast is tasked with spearheading the expansion and enhancement of accountable care initiatives within the designated area. This role encompasses the oversight and management of financial and operational aspects of accountable care programs throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

The Vice President will ensure the overall effectiveness of IASIS Healthcare's local chapters in the Northeast. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the establishment and ongoing management of local chapters, ensuring they meet performance standards in risk and ACO/APO contracts.
  • Evaluating the performance improvement needs of healthcare providers and coordinating efforts to optimize value for all stakeholders.
  • Staying informed about all primary care physicians and specialists in the region, including their affiliations and historical context.
  • Monitoring and analyzing changes in performance metrics, market dynamics, healthcare delivery systems, and relevant legislative developments.
  • Providing leadership and guidance on health plan initiatives and operations in collaboration with IASIS Healthcare.
  • Facilitating collaboration across business units to enhance ACO program operations and support regional growth.

Strategic Initiatives:

Key initiatives include:

  • Developing and implementing standardized policies and procedures tailored to local market needs.
  • Collaborating with regional leadership to devise and execute strategies that effectively allocate resources.
  • Partnering with managed care teams to drive growth in ACO programs and enhance provider engagement and satisfaction.
  • Leading efforts to create and implement performance improvement plans for local chapters to maximize value in risk-based contracts.
  • Working closely with clinical teams to ensure appropriate service utilization and adherence to established standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in a senior leadership role within a managed care or healthcare provider environment.
  • Strong management and supervisory experience, with direct reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, including hospital and physician reimbursement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Travel Requirements:

Travel within the Northeast region will be necessary to engage with local practices as required.
