Position Summary

As a Senior Vice President, you will be a pivotal member of Fidelity Institutional's Consulting division, taking on a leadership role in providing strategic insights to our most significant and sophisticated clients and prospects. Your focus will encompass all facets of a wealth management operation, including business strategy, service delivery, operational efficiency, product offerings, and technological advancements. Our objective is to empower financial intermediaries to excel by shaping their strategies, uncovering growth avenues, enhancing operational scale and efficiency, improving client experiences, and delivering insights that foster confidence and clarity.

In this capacity, you will serve as an industry ambassador, showcasing best practices, insights, and resources. This role demands a distinguished colleague capable of engaging with top-tier firms and executive audiences, ultimately ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients and business partners.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • An MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • Proven track record of influencing and navigating executive-level business leaders, both internally and externally across various functions and sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of intermediary clients, particularly RIA models, with a demonstrated ability to consult with executive leadership and drive actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain robust client relationships across diverse client groups, including marketing, relationship management, technology, product, and client experience.
  • Possession of Series 7 and 63 licenses, with the requirement to obtain them within 90 days.
  • Exceptional senior leadership communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and critical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by a sense of humor and balanced perspective.
  • A proactive approach with a strong drive to take initiative.
  • Outstanding collaborative and team-oriented skills, contributing to the collective knowledge and success of the team.
  • Proficient in establishing relationships with peers and executives across various capacities.
  • Experience working with major RIA clients to enhance their economic contributions to Fidelity, including providing leadership and support for competitive asset opportunities.
  • Acting as a leader and subject matter expert, directly engaging to assist clients in achieving their objectives.
  • Identifying Fidelity solutions that align with the needs of clients and prospective clients.
  • Collaborating with Relationship Management and Sales, along with internal business partners, to pinpoint key considerations and solutions that propel clients toward their goals.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Fidelity's offerings and the FI platform, as well as our competitive standing in the marketplace.
  • Crafting and delivering clear, concise, and insightful presentations to C-suite executives of wealth management firms and Fidelity's senior management teams.

About Our Team

Fidelity Institutional (FI) offers a wide array of clearing, custody, brokerage services, investment products, trading capabilities, and consulting services to registered investment advisors (RIAs), broker-dealers, banks, insurance firms, retirement record keepers, and DCIOs. This role collaborates closely with sales and relationship management teams, as well as internal business partners within FI and the broader Fidelity organization, serving as a conduit to Fidelity's products and services.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year. Placement within this range will depend on job responsibilities, geographic location, relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only one component of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility criteria, the offer may also include bonuses or other variable compensation.
