Job Overview

Hybrid Role - Candidates must be local to Westlake TX or Merrimack NH.

Our esteemed client is in search of a Senior Python Software Engineer with a comprehensive skill set. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Python programming, demonstrating expertise in designing, implementing, and delivering top-notch software solutions. The primary responsibility will involve developing applications that manage, store, and compute large datasets utilizing mathematical algorithms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and execute intricate Python data processing applications.
  • Lead the design and execution of essential features and components within our product suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline, design, and deliver innovative features.
  • Ensure code quality, compliance with coding standards, and maintainability through automated testing and linting.
  • Guide junior developers, conduct code evaluations, and ensure software outputs meet high-quality benchmarks.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects and other technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Python Developer, focusing on backend applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and familiarity with various libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Flask, Django, and FastAPI.
  • Understanding of code quality, DevSecOps practices, and automated testing methodologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the capacity to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in team leadership or mentoring junior developers is advantageous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Proficiency in Docker or other containerization technologies.
  • Experience with analytical platforms like Snowflake.
  • Background in financial services data is a plus.

Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and other compensable factors. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; alternative employment options may be available that could result in different compensation.
