Director of Business Development for Medical Technology

This is a new leadership position within Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) that will focus on driving sales and business growth in the US market for our Medical Technology (MedTech) practice.
The successful candidate will lead a team of business development professionals and work closely with our Chief Experience Officer to develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and leadership, with a minimum of 13 years of experience in the MedTech industry.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive business growth and revenue in the US MedTech market.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of business development professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the MedTech industry, including customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis and provide insights to inform business development strategies and sales initiatives.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
- Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Experience: Minimum 13 years of experience in business development, sales, and leadership in the MedTech industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or life sciences.
- Skills: Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks in the MedTech industry, including FDA, EU MDD, MDR/IVDR, IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and ISO 62304.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time.
