Overview
As a key member of the HR team, the Compensation Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of the compensation database, ensuring adherence to compliance standards for employee compensation records. This role involves educating users on the operational processes related to the compensation module.

In this position, you will participate in the administration, execution, and supervision of compensation plans and programs that align with the overall compensation strategy, promoting equitable compensation practices.


Management Responsibilities:
Supervision of exempt program staff.

Detailed Responsibilities:
Oversee the management and maintenance of compensation data by designing and implementing systems, as well as directing the collection, calculation, and entry of relevant data (e.g., position control).

Ensure the accuracy of compensation records by reviewing and approving modifications related to deductions, salaries, new hires, promotions, demotions, and transfers.

Evaluate payroll liabilities by approving calculations for employee federal income taxes, social security contributions, and workers' compensation payments.

Ensure the integrity of compensation accounts (including step increases and internal equity) by resolving discrepancies and addressing employee inquiries regarding compensation.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; stay informed on industry trends; analyze existing and new legislation; enforce compliance; and advise management on necessary actions.

Prepare reports related to compensation and HRIS. Maintain compensation guidelines by drafting and updating policies. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.

A minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in a role equivalent to Human Resources Analyst or a similar Payroll position.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient in standard software applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the public.

Ability to gather, organize, and analyze both narrative and statistical data; assess problems, evaluate options, develop strategies, and provide practical recommendations; interpret and apply relevant procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knowledge of human resource management principles, payroll practices, and applicable state and federal laws regarding fair employment practices and equal employment opportunity.

Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality.

Work Environment:
Standard office setting.
