POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Accountant role is crucial for managing fixed asset transactions to guarantee accurate coding and reporting in accordance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations. This position will support monthly reporting, procedural tasks, and closing activities while compiling financial data for various internal and external reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee fixed asset reporting and allocation of equipment usage.
  • Manage banking functions including daily/monthly downloads, preparation of cash files, bank reconciliations, and miscellaneous month-end banking entries.
  • Review corporate credit card transactions and post entries for expense tracking.
  • Collaborate with practice managers to analyze monthly physician compensation and fulfill reporting requests from physicians.
  • Prepare precise monthly journal entries as designated.
  • Ensure a timely and accurate closing process related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Review monthly sales tax submissions for correctness and guarantee timely filing.
  • Compile information and schedules pertinent to the corporate income tax return.
  • Assist finance team members in developing processes and databases aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and data management within the Finance department.
  • Support the annual budgeting process by extracting necessary data from various systems.
  • Complete corporate surveys as requested by the Vice President of Financial Operations and/or Executive Vice President.
  • Generate and deliver internal/external reports as required by the Controller.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor and Controller.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of three years of accounting experience is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Strength: Sedentary (exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally).

  • Ability to focus on a computer screen for extended periods.
