Aerospace Sales Director

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Aerospace Sales Director to lead our sales team in driving growth with tier-1 suppliers. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace or a related industry, this individual will bring deep knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: The successful candidate will lead a team of up to 10 sales and customer service representatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. Regular coaching sessions will be conducted to enhance team skills and morale.
- Account Management: This role involves developing and strengthening relationships with key accounts, understanding their unique needs, and coordinating internally to deliver effective solutions.
- Sales Strategy: The ideal candidate will create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth with tier 1 suppliers, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Market Analysis: Strong analytical skills and a resourceful approach to managing complex customer issues and team challenges are essential for this role.
- Bid and Proposal Oversight: The successful candidate will guide the preparation and submission of proposals and bids, ensuring they meet both customer and company standards while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with internal departments, including engineering, production, and quality teams, is crucial to meeting customer requirements, addressing concerns, and ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aerospace or a related industry, with experience in managing teams, and a record of success working with tier 1 or defense contractor accounts.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a sales team effectively, with strong team-building, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Aerospace Knowledge: Deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What We Offer
Amtec Direct Hire offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
