Job Overview

The EEE Parts Engineer will provide essential support for various aerospace projects. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and performance of electronic components used in space applications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager, collaborating with a team of skilled engineers.
  • Deliver expertise on Electrical, Electronic, and Electromagnetic (EEE) components for space missions.
  • Assess proposed EEE Parts lists based on project hardware criticality and environmental conditions.
  • Compile reports on manufacturers, materials, construction, and reliability of selected components for review by the EEE parts control board.
  • Suggest alternative EEE components as necessary.
  • Support investigations into EEE parts failures.
  • Review military and industry specifications and standards for applicability to aerospace projects.
  • Assist in developing qualification plans and screening requirements for EEE components.
  • Contribute to the preparation and dissemination of advisories and alerts related to EEE components.
  • Engage in laboratory work as needed, adhering to established procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position is available at various levels based on experience and qualifications.

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required due to the nature of the work.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in design reviews, product development, and failure analysis is essential.
  • Familiarity with component selection, qualification, and derating for space applications is necessary.
  • Experience in providing technical support to material review boards is advantageous.
  • Experience in EEE-related project activities, including documentation review and generation, is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates on a 9/80 schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.
  • Some travel may be required.

BACKGROUND CHECKS:

All employees must successfully complete a national agency check, with some positions requiring additional clearance and extensive background verification.


DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING:

Pre-employment drug screening is mandatory, and some contracts may require participation in ongoing random testing.

  • Work may involve both office and field environments.
  • Regular attendance is critical to the role.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours to meet project demands is required.
