Hire Resolve's client is a prominent multi-disciplinary engineering firm actively seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineering Specialist.


Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and evaluate hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses and modeling for various watershed sizes;

Design and plan water resource initiatives, including watershed management, drainage enhancements, best management practices (BMPs), erosion and sediment control, and stream restoration;

Prepare and supervise engineering calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings;

Support projects in alignment with the CA Construction General Permit (CGP), CA Industrial General Permit (IGP), and local Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) Permits;

Perform inspections, generate reports, and develop Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Water Quality Improvement Plans (WQIPs), and Waste Discharge Requirement (WDR) permits;

Draft and review technical documents, including written content and visual representations such as maps;

Assist in project management tasks, including proposal development, budgeting, scheduling, and scope management;

Foster and maintain strong client relationships while collaborating with senior professionals and technical teams;

In line with our sell-manage-do business model, contribute to lead generation, business development, staff training, and mentorship;

Enhance our reputation through publishing and participating in notable industry conferences.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering with a focus on water resources or a closely related field. (required)

Advanced degree in environmental or civil engineering with a focus on water resources or a closely related field. (preferred)

Professional Engineer license (i.e., P.E.). (preferred)

A minimum of 5 years (7+ preferred) of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)

Proficiency in modeling and design software tools such as HydroCAD, EPA-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (required)

Experience with NPDES/MS4 permitting, CGP and IGP compliance (QSD or QISP), erosion and sediment control BMPs, and BMP design. (preferred)

Field investigation experience related to stormwater or erosion control. (preferred)

Strong skills in technical writing, project management, and communication. (required)

Experience managing project or task-level budgets of at least $25k. (preferred)

Experience in project scoping, cost estimation, and scheduling. (preferred)
