POSITION SUMMARY
The Civil Engineer specializing in Water/Wastewater will join our esteemed Water group in a dynamic environment. This role is crucial in supporting our diverse public and private sector clients with their upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will be part of a well-established and reputable team of project managers, engineers, and designers, offering a stable and well-funded growth opportunity. This position involves leading exciting multi-disciplinary design projects for municipal clients, private developers, and contractors.
  • Engage in a variety of water-related projects, including the development of water and sewer master plans, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, tanks, wells, hydraulic structures, and treatment facility designs.
  • Collaborate within a project team, responsible for planning, design development, calculations, presentations, and overall project execution.
  • Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for water and wastewater systems.
  • Conduct technical evaluations to support the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructures.
  • Draft and review technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, submittals, and various contract documents.
  • Assist in technical marketing efforts during the procurement of key projects.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with project teams, including other disciplines such as cost estimators, GIS specialists, and designers.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on organizational leadership initiatives.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water resources or related fields, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer registration in California (P.E.) is required.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to work on a variety of projects within the Water and Wastewater Group.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
  • Experience in Hydraulic Modeling for water distribution and sewer collection systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with GIS and other engineering software is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership and active participation in professional or company organizations.
  • Successful management and development of junior staff.
