  • Conduct preliminary and detailed engineering design tasks for water resources and related civil engineering projects, including:
    • Permitting and design of stormwater management and drainage infrastructure, preferably within local jurisdictions.
    • Hydrology and hydraulics related to stormwater.
    • Assessment and planning of watersheds.
    • Management of urban flood risks and floodplain.
    • Implementation of flood protection and resilience strategies.
    • Development of low impact and green infrastructure.
  • Execute 1D and 2D riverine hydraulic modeling.
  • Perform numerical modeling to support stormwater and drainage improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for final bid packages.
  • Engage in design activities and collaborative meetings with project team members, subcontractors, and client managers.
  • Contribute to project decisions regarding technical methodologies, feasibility, costs, construction strategies, and scheduling.
  • Draft written and graphic reports and deliver presentations.
  • Assist in preparing various draft documents, including reports and technical memoranda under supervision.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering,
    • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in stormwater, floodplain, or site civil engineering.
  • EIT certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as:
    • AutoCAD, Microstation, and Matlab is preferred.
    • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or other modeling software is highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment background check.

Compensation:

The base salary range is $31.63 to $38.66 per hour, depending on years of experience, educational background, professional registration, and qualifications.

Physical Requirements:

The majority of work is office-based, with some site visits required that may involve navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
