Training Program Manager

The Training Program Manager plays a crucial role in the development, promotion, organization, management, and assessment of extensive training and educational initiatives for Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN).
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Direct and supervise the daily functions of the Training Team.
- Goal Management: Oversee and evaluate annual training objectives and targets.
- Strategic Development: Collaborate in crafting the overall training strategy and departmental budget.
- Staff Development: Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to Training personnel.
- Content Review: Evaluate and authorize all training materials and curricula, ensuring compliance with OCHN branding standards.
- Needs Assessment: Identify and evaluate training requirements through assessments and feedback.
- Consultation: Offer expert advice to the provider network and OCHN personnel as necessary.
- Relationship Building: Foster and maintain positive interactions with managers, OCHN staff, and other stakeholders, emphasizing excellent customer service.
- Resource Provision: Ensure that OCHN staff and network possess the necessary tools, knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver quality care.
- Collaboration: Work with OCHN staff and leadership to address training needs effectively.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
- At least three years of administrative experience in human services, government, or healthcare-related sectors.
- A minimum of three years in training development and execution.
- At least three years in a managerial role.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in community mental health or integrated healthcare is preferred.
- Familiarity with health education core competencies.
- Strong understanding of diverse learning styles.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Sound decision-making skills based on operational needs.
- Outstanding writing and editing proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of behavioral health and related systems in Michigan.
- Ability to identify strengths and areas for improvement within staff skill sets and implement effective strategies for ongoing development.
- Effective prioritization and communication skills.
- Strong public speaking and training abilities.
- Understanding of training and continuing education requirements.
- Ability to mentor and coach others.
- Competent problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to collaborate with other teams to develop and manage new initiatives.
- Demonstrated intercultural competency and experience working cross-culturally.
- Proven ability to cultivate and sustain relationships and partnerships.
- Strong technological skills in Microsoft Office, with a preference for knowledge in Adobe, web design, and LMS technology.
- Ability to analyze complex operational or fiscal challenges and recommend effective solutions.
- Capacity to foster a collaborative team environment that resolves issues and implements solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ability to recruit, select, supervise, and evaluate the work of professional and administrative staff.
- Ability to provide developmental opportunities for future succession planning.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct productive meetings.
- Capacity to initiate, plan, develop, coordinate, and implement system-wide programs.
- Highly effective project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

- Must have reliable transportation for offsite meetings or visits.
- Availability for meetings and events outside standard office hours may be required.
- Work primarily conducted in an office setting.
