ROLE OVERVIEW

The Program Manager is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive activities of designated programs throughout their duration, ensuring adherence to the contract's financial, scheduling, and performance parameters in line with the latest Program Lifecycle Management (PLM) methodologies.

This role involves directing resources to facilitate marketing proposals and the introduction of new programs, with an emphasis on delivering products that fulfill requirements punctually, at high quality, and within budgetary constraints.

The Program Manager also provides oversight for products in the after-market sector and ensures swift resolution of in-service challenges. The primary goal is to meet or surpass customer expectations regarding program quality, cost, and delivery timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates marketing initiatives by contributing the program management segment of proposals.
  • Post-contract award, collaborates with marketing to devise plans and strategies for securing follow-on business.
  • Acts as the primary representative of the company and main point of contact for all assigned programs.
  • Identifies and secures program team members in collaboration with Division and Functional Heads.
  • Accountable for all aspects of assigned programs, operating within management's objectives, goals, and funding parameters. The incumbent is responsible for producing and managing the Program Management Plan, ensuring that all program elements, including Technical, Commercial, and Supply Chain activities, are integrated into a Master Program Schedule.
  • Maintains a risk management framework where risks and issues are identified, prioritized, and mitigation strategies are developed and implemented.
  • Manages budget allocations and prepares reports to track actual versus projected costs. Program status and performance are continuously monitored through review meetings, reports, and presentations to management and clients.
  • Engages in resolving technical and commercial in-service issues, particularly those related to customer interactions and relationships.
  • Undertakes special assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree is required (preferably in engineering or a related technical field)

Experience:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.

Skills:

  • This position encompasses both administrative and technical responsibilities.
  • Experience in project engineering, manufacturing, and scheduling is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
  • Strong motivational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including MS Project and SAP.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Onsite work schedule: Monday to Friday
  • No direct reports are associated with this position.
  • Aerospace experience is highly preferred.
  • A background in manufacturing is required.
