Position: Applications Engineer / NC Programmer

Overview: We are in search of a dedicated Applications Engineer who is self-motivated, organized, and focused on delivering quality customer service.

  • Facilitate capability runoffs at Heller and client sites
  • Provide production support
  • Offer customer service assistance
  • Aid in training initiatives at both Heller and client locations
  • Provide logistical support and knowledge
  • Archive the latest machine programs post pre-acceptance
  • Oversee installation processes
  • Preserve and file finalized NC programs
  • Conduct final acceptance run-offs for applications
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues via phone with clients
  • Diagnose and address issues on-site with clients
  • Provide technical support for customer training sessions
  • Travel approximately 70% of annual working hours

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of a 2-year degree in Manufacturing Technology or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in machining or machine tool operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to understand process illustration documentation
  • Competence in reading and interpreting CMM inspection reports
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Experience in NC Programming
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of HUS processes: Design, Build, Logistics, and Installation
  • Capability to complete SPC runoffs
  • Ability to meet process capability within specified time cycles
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting cut-view documentation
  • Effective communication skills with clients, design suppliers, and project managers

Training Requirements:

  • Completion of Heller online training modules
  • General Safety training
  • 9001 Quality System Awareness training
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Awareness training
  • Additional training as necessary

Quality Assurance:

  • Adherence to QMS (Quality Management System)
  • Support and follow HUS process maps
  • Utilize HUS procedures, work instructions, and forms

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend and move throughout the facility.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • As specified by the Heller handbook or facility requirements.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily in an office setting with regular exposure to HUS and client manufacturing facilities.

Additional Duties:

Compensation:
