Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage with diverse teams across the globe, working on pioneering technologies such as automated driving, driver monitoring, and advanced safety systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a fervor for devising solutions that positively influence lives. A solid background in Parking Perception Work is essential, along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Duties Include:
- Overseeing the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of Parking Perception Work Products (vision, ultra-sonic) that enhance vehicle parking functionalities.
- Tracking Sprint metrics (e.g., Sprint velocity, defect rate) of assigned products to ensure that all engineering outputs meet high standards and are completed efficiently, utilizing Global Product best practices.
- Responsible for developing the product development workplan by estimating necessary time and resources, and identifying critical paths and interdependencies among modules.
- Leading Platform Interface for Global Product with Regional Engineering and, when necessary, with end customers.
- Defining work product prioritization during Big Room Planning and other Product Development Planning events.
- Authorizing applicable platform utilizations for customer pursuit opportunities.
- Participating in and contributing to product strategy and vehicle architecture discussions with other product lines within Global Product.
- Supporting technical analysis and approving any product change requests.
- Leading make vs. buy considerations and external supplier selection recommendations.
- Accountable for organizing and conducting ADP2.x Gate Reviews and following up on actions thereafter.
- Leading any required First Application of Innovation reviews and managing risk mitigation plans appropriately.
- Assisting the HW Lead and Technical Program Manager in establishing product BOM and Engineering Development costs as inputs for business cases developed by Product Management.
- Supporting Regional Engineering Director Reviews for Business Pursuits.
- Ensuring proper alignment with manufacturing during New Product Development.
- Assisting in customer problem troubleshooting and driving corrective actions for platform issues.
- Ensuring effective technology hand-over to customer teams at key milestones.
Your Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Vision-based perception systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Parking applications, either at the Perception Level or Vehicle Feature Level.
- Experience with Ultra Sonic Sensors and/or Radar is preferred.
- The ability to take full ownership of delivery.
