Position Overview:

As an Event Services Supervisor at Big Sky Resort, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding guest experiences during banquets and events. You will lead a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed to create memorable occasions for our guests.

Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as the primary liaison for group leaders, ensuring seamless communication during event setup and throughout the event.
  • Guide and mentor team members, fostering a positive and enjoyable work atmosphere.
  • Deliver comprehensive training to all Conference Services staff to enhance their skills.
  • Engage in pre-conference meetings with groups to ensure all details are addressed.
  • Maintain precise records for daily group activities.
  • Interact with guests positively to enhance their overall experience and address any concerns.
  • Continuously seek improvements in Conference Services operations.
  • Adhere to established procedures for scheduling, staffing, and other operational tasks to meet brand standards.
  • Oversee daily operations to guarantee quality and efficiency in service delivery.
  • Assist in various roles within the Conference Services team as needed.
  • Conduct daily briefings with service teams, utilizing excellent communication skills.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization standards in conference rooms and event spaces.
  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members and the Director of Conference Services.
  • Learn and implement Boyne Standards and Basics to enhance guest service.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banquet and event management, with a focus on leadership.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
  • A genuine passion for the hospitality and culinary sectors.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and procedures.
  • A strong sense of urgency and responsibility in achieving quality standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and supervise team members effectively.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Willingness to adhere to established protocols and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The capability to lift at least 25 pounds.
