Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to oversee procurement activities and ensure that acquired goods are both economical and of superior quality. The Purchasing Specialist's duties encompass managing personnel, fostering positive supplier relationships, assessing supply alternatives, sanctioning purchases, and keeping precise records.

Key Responsibilities:

· Directing and overseeing the operations of the purchasing department and its staff.

· Implementing and upholding the organization's procurement policies and protocols.

· Analyzing, comparing, and approving products and services for procurement.

· Administering inventory and ensuring accurate records of purchases and pricing.

· Updating and maintaining supplier information, including qualifications, delivery schedules, and product offerings.

· Cultivating strong supplier relationships and negotiating terms of contracts.

· Conducting research and evaluations of potential suppliers.

· Developing budgets, conducting cost analyses, and preparing reports.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED.

· Preferred degree in business management, accounting, or a related field.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement or a similar role.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software.

· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

· Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

· Experience in supervisory and management roles.

· High attention to detail.
