The Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development is a strategic leader responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies that support the mission and goals of Rutland Regional Medical Center. This role requires a strong understanding of human resources operations, labor laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement human resources policies and programs to support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Human Resources team to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to ensure optimal relationships and lines of open communication are maintained.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert advice on labor issues and render consultative advice to management.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure a highly supportive environment for staff to excel.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in business administration, human resources management, or related field required.
  • 10 years of healthcare human resource management experience, to include 5 years at a Director level.
  • Professional certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Able to work in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication, and customer service skills.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Expert level knowledge of human resources operations.
  • Excellent professional presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with and engage all levels of management as well as individuals from all levels of socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively work with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of all HR functional areas with an emphasis on EEOC laws and requirements, federal and state employment laws, immigration requirements, and ADA requirements.
  • Knowledgeable regarding budget development.
  • Expert knowledge of labor relations and a proven track record in rendering expert, consultative advice on labor issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.

Pay Range

$104,000 - $166,000
