Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer plays a pivotal role in guiding and operating the Good Samaritan Haven, working closely with the Executive Director to drive organizational success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all internal operations, ensuring a healthy and satisfying work culture and high client satisfaction.
- Supervise program managers, oversee Human Resources, and develop and maintain scheduling systems.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resource laws and regulations, maintain human resource records, and develop integrated communication systems.
- Partner with the Executive Director to ensure financial health, track program and financial outcomes, and participate in grant writing and reporting.
- Become familiar with GSH's external partners and participate in community partnerships as needed.
- Strong supervisory experience and knowledge of HR systems and databases.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Track record of building strong, high-morale staff teams and in-depth knowledge of labor law and best HR practices.
- Budget, finance, and planning experience, as well as interest in and experience in community partnerships.
- Familiarity with best practices in serving people experiencing homelessness.
