Supportive Services Coordinator

Job Summary:
The John Stewart Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supportive Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing and providing supportive services at our properties. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our residents and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison and advocate with outside social and health agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Plan and conduct after-school programs for resident youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.
- Establish and work with resident groups to facilitate positive community relations and a sense of belonging.
- Advise the Property Manager on overall service and recreation needs of the residential community, ensuring that our residents receive the support they need to thrive.
- Provide assistance with office duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team.
- Evaluate service programming as necessary, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the quality of our services.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a supportive service area, with a proven track record of success in working with low-income families, children, youth, seniors, and disabled populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work well with diverse populations and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Familiarity with planning activities, locating outside support services, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including TCAC and HUD guidelines.
