Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a clean and safe workplace by adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing necessary safety equipment.
- Engage in oil sampling and implement corrective measures based on analysis results.
- Properly label and tag reservoirs, equipment, inventory, and delivery containers.
- Diagnose and resolve common lubrication-related equipment issues.
- Manage inventory and oversee the routine ordering of lubricants.
- Report any discrepancies or conditions necessitating corrective maintenance.
- Complete mandatory quality core classes and apply learned skills and techniques.
- Contribute to Quality Initiatives by continuously improving processes and monitoring them quantitatively.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, which may involve extending lubrication lines, installing filter cart adapter kits on gearboxes and hydraulic units, and assessing and implementing automatic lubricators.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with fundamental lubrication systems and contamination control.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle; must possess a valid lift truck operating license.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers for handling or feeling, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance at heights requiring a ladder or lift, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces. The employee may occasionally sit and must be able to lift and/or move items exceeding 50 pounds. Close vision and color vision are regularly required. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and electrical hazards. Work is primarily conducted in a factory setting, which is typically very loud. The employee may encounter hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery surfaces.
