Air Export Operations Agent III at AIT Worldwide Logistics is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day export of international freight forwarding shipments into and out of the USA across all modes of international transportation based on customer requests.
Key Responsibilities- Validate customer orders and identify best routing/transit options
- Secure quotations from vendors and issue customer or overseas office/agent quotations
- Perform TSA Known Shipper Checks and secure bookings from airlines
- Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractors and accrue costs in CargoWise
- Issue customer booking confirmations and confirm timely delivery/receipt of cargo
- Receive and validate customer documents and ensure receipt of AES Data elements
- File AES according to USPPI instructions and receive and validate master air waybills
- Track and confirm flight departures and issue AIT House air waybills
- Upload documents to edocs in CargoWise and send pre-alerts to overseas offices/agents
- Confirm final costs and issue invoices to customers/overseas offices
- Manage customer reporting and system milestones
- Associate's degree or equivalent
- 4-6 years freight forwarding experience preferred
- Dangerous Goods Certification preferred
- Certified CargoWise Specialist CCO required
- Proficiency in CargoWise and advanced math/geography skills
- Ability to analyze numerical data and recommend solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, and regulatory requirements
