Senior Program Manager in Financial Planning

Compensation: $75-85/hr
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in Program Management Office (PMO) experience specifically within Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) who have utilized Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions. Preference will be given to those familiar with Hyperion or IBM Cognos, along with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with senior finance executives while engaging in technical discussions with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Finance experience is essential, including recent roles, with at least 5+ years of PMO experience that is current.
- Ownership and Management: You will oversee lifecycle activities from inception to completion, including planning, requirements gathering, collaboration with technology teams, user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution, project closure, and stakeholder engagement across multiple projects.
- Process Automation: Lead automation initiatives and coordinate the design of processes and tools to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial statement processes.
- Consultative Role: Act as a trusted consultant, collaborating with various FP&A stakeholder teams across the organization.
- Decision-Making: Be an empowered decision-maker who influences project direction and ensures successful completion.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Successful candidates will have extensive experience in financial processes, project management, finance requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing. A commitment to delivering process improvements within the finance organization is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and the ability to identify opportunities for enhancement, driving positive changes across the organization while fostering collaboration between FP&A and other finance and IT teams.
Additionally, candidates must be adept at navigating a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and complexity, and supporting multiple project launches simultaneously. Sufficient finance experience is necessary to assist project teams in identifying and integrating essential financial reporting and internal control elements into newly developed systems or tools.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Experience with FP&A EPM systems, particularly Hyperion.
- Familiarity with PMO tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and SharePoint.
- Exposure to cloud technologies, including AWS.
