Associate Director of Corporate Engagement

About This Role:
The Associate Director of Corporate Engagement at Kansas State University plays a vital role in advancing the university's strategic objectives through corporate engagement. This position is responsible for cultivating relationships with corporate partners, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration internally, and promoting innovation externally.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in implementing strategies to strengthen partnerships with corporations.
- Supporting the University's Economic Prosperity Plan and fostering innovation through collaboration.
- Representing K-State at industry events to promote capabilities and forge partnerships.
- Cultivating relationships with potential partners and facilitating collaboration opportunities.
- Identifying funding opportunities and leveraging university resources for economic development.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify joint initiatives.
- Managing corporate engagement operations and staying informed about relevant policies.
- Using data to measure performances and improve outcomes.
- Supporting coordination of communication across departments and disciplines.
- Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders and funding agencies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.
- Experience: Four years of successful corporate engagement, economic development, business development, and/or customer management facing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, preferably in a higher education or research environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to travel, including some nights and weekends.
- Demonstrated success at managing complex issues and relationships.
- Exhibits a strong commitment to the land grant mission of Kansas State University.
