Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Impact Coordinator to join our team at POAH Communities. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between residents and our Community Impact department, providing essential support and services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of residents and families through annual surveys and develop targeted programming to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with residents, site staff, management, and local community service providers to deliver supportive services and programs.
  • Identify and coordinate opportunities for youth and families in the community, including health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery programs, and community building activities.
  • Maintain confidential records of services provided to residents, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish program targets, track progress, and analyze outcomes data to inform continuous program improvement.
  • Effectively communicate with residents through various channels, ensuring they are informed of available resources and programs.
  • Stay up-to-date on Fair Housing, EIV, ADA, and other relevant HUD rules and regulations, as well as lease and house rules governing tenant residency.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in resident/social service programs, preferably in affordable housing.
  • Ability to work with diverse resident populations and motivate them to engage in community activities.
  • Basic proficiency in computer software, including Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Resident Coordinator certification is a plus.
  • College degree in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development is a plus.
  • Willingness to support scattered sites.
  • Preferred bilingual in Spanish (oral and written).
