Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct patient screenings following established protocols.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for referrals.
  • Provide translation services as required.
  • Assist in the setup for medical procedures.
  • Obtain tests as outlined in the Medical Assistant competency checklist.
  • Engage in hospital discharge and emergency room tracking.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
  • Perform quality assurance tasks as needed.
  • Manage inventory control and sterilization statistics.
  • Respond to phone calls and electronic messages as necessary.
  • Schedule patient appointments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Assist with document management tasks.
  • Support the patient care team with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Two years of experience in a community or outpatient care setting.
  • Willingness to complete Basic Life Support (CPR) training.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility regarding work assignments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish or Portuguese, are advantageous.
  • Current vaccinations for pertussis and tetanus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with GE Centricity is a plus.

This role is primarily administrative but requires mobility and the ability to travel between various locations as needed. Compliance with annual vaccination and health screening requirements is mandatory for all employees.
