Under the supervision of department leaders and imaging professionals, the Radiology Support Specialist undertakes a diverse range of administrative and patient care responsibilities.

This role involves assisting technologists and other staff in the daily functions of the Radiology department.
In a healthcare environment, the specialist engages in various patient service tasks, administrative responsibilities, and general office activities.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the smooth flow of patient escorts, managing correspondence, and handling other materials; welcoming and directing visitors, and upholding the cleanliness and organization of the workspace.


Essential Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication abilities.

Familiarity with office equipment (fax machines, computers, scheduling software, multi-line phone systems) is essential. Organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are required.

A foundational understanding of medical terminology and experience with computerized patient information systems or similar technology is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting. CPR Certification.
