Position Overview:

The role of the Process Automation Manager is pivotal in driving the adoption of advanced manufacturing practices. This position is dedicated to enhancing the operational efficiency of small to medium manufacturers (SMMs) by guiding them through the transition to Industry 4.0 methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the statewide management and execution of advanced manufacturing services, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with regional technical teams to create tailored advanced manufacturing solutions for local manufacturers.
  • Act as the primary liaison for identifying and integrating innovative technologies from various research and development entities into our service offerings.
  • Promote the organization's advanced manufacturing capabilities across the state.
  • Engage in collaborative working groups focused on advancing manufacturing technologies.
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders to disseminate advanced manufacturing concepts throughout the industry.
  • Build strategic partnerships with equipment providers both locally and nationally.
  • Coordinate with business operations to develop effective delivery strategies for advanced manufacturing services.
  • Enhance customer engagement and support marketing initiatives to generate leads.
  • Utilize data analytics tools for monitoring project outcomes and ensuring statewide impact.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction for the delivery of advanced manufacturing services.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Supervisory and Budgetary Responsibilities:
  • Manage third-party contractor activities and project-specific budgets.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a related discipline, accompanied by six years of relevant experience.
  • Proven expertise in manufacturing automation systems and technologies.
  • Experience in team management and employee development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in a related STEM field with four years of relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on motivating cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in tools such as MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Solidworks, AutoCAD, robotic programming, PLC controls, and CNC G-Code.
