Position Summary:
Stillwater Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Auto Liability Claims Adjuster. We are interested in candidates with extensive experience in multi-state Bodily Injury and Uninsured Motorist claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both external and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee, investigate, and resolve auto, premises, and commercial liability claims efficiently.
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages, and settle claims within established authority limits.
- Interpret policy details and analyze information gathered to determine optimal actions.
- Gather necessary documentation (contracts, agreements, releases, statements) to support claims investigations.
- Manage complex auto litigation, ensuring cost control, supervising outside counsel, and developing litigation strategies in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Establish and maintain timely and appropriate loss reserves and expense budgets.
- Implement a calendar system to ensure each assigned claim receives necessary ongoing attention.
- Ensure compliance with all state, legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements in claims handling.
- Handle assigned claims in accordance with company guidelines with minimal supervision.
- Maintain and acquire necessary adjuster licenses in all relevant states.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, with two to four years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficient in database, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workflow effectively.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Demonstrated capability to plan and organize projects efficiently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
