NARS is seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our Commercial Auto and Trucking Division

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain up-to-date claim metrics.

· Manage a caseload of up to 150 claims, which may involve varying degrees of complexity.

· Conduct thorough investigations to establish facts of loss, analyze coverage, determine compensability/liability/negligence, coordinate medical care when necessary, manage litigation, assess damages, negotiate settlements, identify potential fraud, and utilize authorized vendors appropriately.

· Ensure timely reserve analysis and completion of reports.

· Participate in conferences, client meetings, mentor junior adjusters, and assist management as needed.

· Adhere to state statutes, Client Claims Handling Guidelines, and NARS Best Practices in all file management.

· Perform other duties as assigned, which may include travel.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a 2-year degree or higher is preferred.

· 3 to 9 years of prior experience in claims adjusting or successful completion of the NARS Claims Trainee program.

· Must possess or be able to obtain a Florida Adjuster's license or other necessary jurisdictional licensing.

Technical Skills:

· Strong negotiation skills for claims and litigation direction.

· Excellent interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential information.

· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

· Capable of presenting information clearly to auditors, clients, and potential clients.

Physical Abilities:

· Ability to sit for extended periods.

· Willingness to attend local office meetings as required.

· Comfortable working indoors in a controlled environment.

· Ability to lift files and boxes weighing up to approximately 20 pounds.

· Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screens.

· Travel may be required for mediations as assigned.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we are pleased to share that the base salary for the Claims Adjuster position ranges from $55,000 to $78,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This role is also eligible for an annual performance raise, contingent upon meeting all guidelines. Salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We prioritize pay equality and consider internal equity among our current team members as a crucial part of any offer. Please note that the mentioned range represents the full base salary range for the role, and hiring at the maximum of this range is not typical to allow for future salary growth. We also provide a generous compensation and benefits package.
