Role:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing both internal and external teams to guarantee the effective execution of product initiatives. This position involves managing designated product teams and collaborating with our manufacturing and sourcing partners. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Senior Project Manager will facilitate coordination among product design, graphic design, product development, sourcing, preproduction, production, assembly, shipping, and marketing teams. The key objective is to maintain project timelines and ensure adherence to critical paths.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee assigned product teams and engage with manufacturing and sourcing partners.
· Collaborate with external entities to establish production and manufacturing strategies.
· Serve as the central communication hub among various departments including account management, product design, graphic design, marketing, structural teams, product development, sourcing, preproduction, production, assembly, and shipping.
· Ensure all projects adhere to established timelines and critical paths.
· Promote effective communication and collaboration across departments and partner organizations.
· Address product inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
· Obtain necessary approvals from relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor and drive the progress of development and production for each project.
· Ensure efficient advancement throughout all stages of development and production.
· Track project milestones and deliverables to meet deadlines.
· Identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines and quality.
· Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
· Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, identifying deliverables, required resources, timelines, dependencies, and variables for each task.
· Establish project quality and performance standards while assessing and managing risks across multiple projects.
· Review project and creative briefs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
· Enhance overall project management and workflow capabilities to efficiently support a mix of long-term and short-term projects.
· Manage budgets and timelines, seeking efficiencies through optimized workflows.
· Identify opportunities to generate significant value and revenue by engaging with new prospects and participating in proposal development.
· Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management.
· Travel to manufacturing sites as required.
Qualified candidates will possess:
· A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
· 5-7 years of experience in Product Development/Manufacturing.
· A strong grasp of material properties and their implications for product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
· Experience in packaging design and engineering.
· Proficiency in Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
· Experience in fast-paced startup environments, leading and managing multiple teams across various functions.
· A track record of bringing mass-produced consumer products to market.
· Familiarity with multiple product lifecycles from business development to final delivery.
