Role:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading both internal and external teams to guarantee the effective execution of product initiatives. This role involves managing dedicated product teams and liaising with our manufacturing and sourcing collaborators. As the primary point of contact, the Senior Project Manager will facilitate coordination among product design, graphic design, product development, sourcing, preproduction, production, assembly, shipping, and marketing teams. The key objective is to ensure that all projects adhere to their established timelines and critical paths.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee assigned product teams and collaborate closely with manufacturing and sourcing partners.
· Partner with external organizations to establish effective manufacturing and production strategies.
· Serve as the central communication hub between account management, product design, graphic design, marketing, structural teams, product development, sourcing, preproduction, production, assembly, and shipping.
· Maintain project schedules and ensure all initiatives remain aligned with their critical paths.
· Foster communication and collaboration across various departments and partner organizations.
· Address product inquiries and resolve challenges as they arise.
· Obtain necessary approvals from relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor and drive the development and production progress of each initiative.
· Ensure timely advancement throughout the development and production phases.
· Track project milestones and deliverables to meet established deadlines.
· Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines and quality.
· Cultivate strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
· Collaborate in the formulation of comprehensive project plans, identifying deliverables, required resources, timelines, dependencies, and variables associated with each deliverable.
· Establish project quality and performance standards, assessing and managing risks across multiple projects.
· Review project and creative briefs to ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives.
· Enhance project management and workflow capabilities to efficiently support a diverse range of clients with both long-term and short-term projects.
· Manage budgets and timelines, identifying opportunities for efficiency through optimized workflows.
· Explore avenues to generate significant value and revenue by engaging with new prospects and participating in business proposal development.
· Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior management.
· Travel to manufacturing sites as necessary.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
· 5-7 years of experience in Product Development and Manufacturing.
· Strong understanding of material properties and their implications for product design, development, and manufacturing processes.
· Experience in packaging design and engineering.
· Proficiency in Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
· Experience in fast-paced startup environments, leading and managing multiple teams across various functions.
· Proven track record of bringing mass-produced consumer products to market.
· Familiarity with multiple product lifecycles from business development to final delivery.
