Role:
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing both internal and external teams to ensure the effective execution of product development initiatives. This position involves managing designated product teams and collaborating closely with our manufacturing and sourcing partners. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Senior Project Manager will facilitate coordination among product design, graphic design, product development, sourcing, preproduction, production, assembly, shipping, and marketing teams. The main objective is to keep projects aligned with their critical timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead assigned product teams and work in partnership with manufacturing and sourcing partners.
· Collaborate with external entities to establish effective manufacturing and production strategies.
· Serve as the central communication hub between various departments including account management, product design, graphic design, marketing, and production.
· Ensure project timelines are maintained and that all initiatives adhere to their critical paths.
· Promote effective communication and teamwork across departments and partner organizations.
· Address product inquiries and resolve challenges as they arise.
· Obtain necessary approvals from relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor and drive the progress of development and production for each project.
· Ensure timely advancement throughout all stages of development and production.
· Track project milestones and deliverables to meet established deadlines.
· Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines and quality.
· Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to guarantee successful project outcomes.
· Collaborate in the creation of comprehensive project plans, identifying deliverables, required resources, timelines, dependencies, and associated variables.
· Establish project quality and performance benchmarks while managing risks across multiple projects.
· Review project briefs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
· Enhance overall project management capabilities to effectively support a diverse range of clients and projects.
· Manage budgets and timelines, seeking efficiencies through optimized workflows.
· Identify opportunities to drive value and revenue through engagement with new prospects and participation in proposal development.
· Provide regular updates and reports on project status to senior leadership.
· Travel to manufacturing sites as necessary.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
· 5-7 years of experience in Product Development and Manufacturing.
· In-depth understanding of material properties and their implications for product design and manufacturing processes.
· Experience in packaging design and engineering.
· Proficiency in Project Management Software, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with 3D modeling software is advantageous.
· Proven experience in fast-paced startup environments, managing multiple teams across various functions.
· Demonstrated success in bringing mass-produced consumer products to market.
· Familiarity with various product lifecycles from business development to final delivery.
