Position Overview:
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Revenue Cycle Management Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this capacity, the selected individual will provide support to executive personnel on special projects related to revenue enhancement within the Health System. Key responsibilities will focus on charge description master (CDM) management, revenue capture, billing discrepancies, and additional service revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects and organizes data from multiple system sources to perform thorough analyses aimed at identifying potential revenue cycle improvements. Engages with analytical tools to extract, compile, and manipulate data for comprehensive evaluations. Presents findings in a structured and coherent manner, ensuring all sources, specifications, and assumptions are documented for future reference.
  • Ensures data integrity while processing data files for analysis. Maintains accuracy and prevents data corruption through diligent use of tools and a robust system of checks. Conducts verification of query results and reports to confirm alignment with expectations prior to final presentation.
  • Collaborates with department leaders and hospital staff to gather insights that enhance revenue cycle opportunities. Represents the Revenue Cycle department in meetings and actively seeks knowledge from other departments.
  • Delivers information and reports to various hospital stakeholders regarding CDM, billing, and revenue capture. Communicates effectively with hospital personnel concerning Revenue Cycle department matters.
  • Oversees and mentors junior analysts as necessary. Evaluates the quality and quantity of work produced by team members, implementing follow-up measures to achieve desired outcomes. Organizes workflow efficiently and delegates tasks to ensure optimal performance. Provides comprehensive training to new staff on revenue cycle policies and procedures, facilitating their independent functioning.
  • Operates autonomously, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking. Capable of working without supervision, completing tasks promptly, and seeking feedback to enhance understanding.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities in all work aspects, showcasing initiative, determination, and self-assurance. Adheres to professional conduct and complies with all departmental policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, or decision support roles, including:
- Understanding of revenue cycle business processes
- Strong analytical capabilities and excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to assist executive personnel in identifying revenue opportunities
- Competence in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a hospital finance environment (e.g., reimbursement, charge master, patient financial services, hospital operations) is advantageous. Familiarity with PowerPoint and American HealthWare is also preferred.

Qualified candidates should be able to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
