Position Overview:

Only qualified candidates for the Senior Project Manager role will be considered, with a requirement for onsite presence in the New York, NY area.

This position is integral to a central Program Management Team, responsible for ensuring the timely execution of deliverables across various workstreams while providing subject matter expertise. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management and the ability to offer practical and sustainable solutions.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tier 1 Banks or Big 4 firms
  • Background in Regulatory Change or transformation initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead a workstream effectively
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A minimum of 8 years of project management experience, ideally in a senior capacity
  • Experience in Capital Markets Transformation
  • Exceptional project and program management capabilities; adept at achieving consensus among project teams and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be articulate and persuasive, with the judgment to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to drive changes in business practices by collaborating effectively across a global organization
  • Thought leadership in target state design through engaging various organizational stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with a focus on follow-up and problem resolution
  • Experience in Risk and Regulatory projects
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • Project Management certifications such as PMP or equivalent are a strong advantage

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage transformation/change management/PMO initiatives with a focus on Capital Markets to ensure compliance for a significant client population
  • Collaborate with Business, Legal, Risk, and Operations teams to facilitate documentation and operational readiness
  • Represent Markets Transformation across various workstreams to ensure timely delivery of key initiatives and issue resolution
  • Possess a working knowledge of Markets business and products and/or regulatory capital
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to obtain buy-in for business process and infrastructure changes
  • Work closely with Markets Business and Technology teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and proper governance
  • Deliver concise presentations to senior management regarding project/program status and resource planning
  • Influence and build collaborative relationships across Global Markets stakeholders
  • Analyze large datasets using SQL and Python as a plus
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, collaborating with Sales, Business Managers, Product Owners, Risk, Legal, and Operations teams
  • Identify challenges and proactively resolve or escalate risks and issues in a timely manner by engaging relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously engage senior stakeholders by addressing and resolving issues as they arise
