Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Asset Management team, you will play a vital role in supporting our client's asset portfolios, ensuring accountability for government property acquired by the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP).

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the government team lead in overseeing and managing the customer Asset Management Program, including the development and implementation of logistics automation systems and tools for supply chain management, maintenance management, configuration management, asset management, parts provisioning, optimization, staffing resource modeling, and system fault analysis.
  • Supporting the government lead in annual federal inventory reporting and accounting.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and conducting physical inventories at designated locations as directed by the government.
  • Creating discrepancy reports to support the annual financial statements reporting effort.
  • Assisting in enterprise asset management accountability and asset identification initiatives.


Additional duties may include:
  • Managing assets throughout their lifecycle to ensure accountability during acquisition, maintenance, and disposition.
  • Serving as a Local Property Officer and Inventory Taker.
  • Conducting Self-Governance Audits and Annual Physical Inventories.
  • Monitoring and updating the Management Action Plan status.
  • Facilitating asset transfers and coordinating transactions with USBP sectors/stations.
  • Providing asset management guidance for physical inventory processes.
  • Collaborating with external partners on asset management issues.
  • Conducting policy and procedure reviews.
  • Responding to external requests from the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Participating in Quality Assurance Reviews by relevant oversight offices.
  • Managing general warehouse operations and conducting inventory during installations.
  • Documenting equipment in the system of record.
  • Coordinating shipping and receiving of all property.
  • Conducting project close-outs and decommissioning activities.
  • Disposing of property/assets responsibly.
  • Engaging in mission support activities.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in property and asset management; or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 18+ years of experience.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 45 related to federal personal property management.
  • Experience with asset management systems such as SAP and Maximo is preferred.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to interact effectively with senior executives.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented, with the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
