New Yosemite is a specialized short-term crisis stabilization program designed for youth aged 8 to 17 on the autism spectrum. This program serves young individuals who are experiencing difficulties at home, providing essential support to families in distress.

Our comprehensive services include crisis intervention, behavioral stabilization, assessment, brief therapeutic treatment, individual and family counseling, and thorough discharge planning. Our primary objective is to facilitate the successful reintegration of youth into their families. With an intensive therapeutic approach, we have achieved a remarkable success rate, with 85% of participants meeting their treatment goals and returning home.

Position Overview:
The Residential Supervisor for the New Yosemite Program collaborates closely with the Residential Manager to oversee the well-being of residents and staff within the facility. Key responsibilities include assisting with staff scheduling, crisis management, training, conducting interviews, and participating in agency training sessions.

Available Shifts:
Full Time - Hourly; Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position in California is between $24.65 and $32.15 per hour, with actual compensation determined by experience and other relevant factors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a social science field or equivalent experience in a residential setting with similar populations, or two years of full-time experience in a relevant residential environment. Must meet the training and experience requirements set by California's Division of Community Care Licensing.
  • Proven understanding of developmental milestones in children and youth to provide effective care and services.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence in working with diverse families and communities.
  • Ability to apply de-escalation techniques aligned with trauma-informed care when intervening with participants in crisis.
  • Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record, or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic clinical documentation systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree and relevant work experience.
  • Experience in designing, supervising, and implementing individualized behavioral interventions.
  • One or more years of experience with the target population (e.g., intellectually disabled, homeless, emotionally disturbed youth).
  • Experience in various program modalities (e.g., school-based, residential, community-based).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to assess and triage effectively.
  • Experience in utilizing a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision and community service.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
