Residential Housing Program Coordinator

The East Bay Rental Housing Association, in collaboration with Alameda County, presents a unique opportunity for individuals eager to make a significant impact in the community by enhancing the rental housing landscape. This position requires a solid understanding of California State and Alameda County real estate, property management, and rental housing.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for assisting individuals in resolving issues, exhibit strong attention to detail, manage multiple daily tasks effectively, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal). A thorough understanding of contemporary web-enabled technologies is also essential.
We are looking for Residential Housing Program Coordinators to contribute to the development of a new Housing Resource Center program in Alameda County, aimed at supporting both property owners and renters. Responsibilities will include providing guidance on state and local housing regulations, tenant and property owner rights, and best practices in rental property management, as well as assisting with the navigation of county-wide support programs and resolving disputes between renters and owners.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle inquiries, requests, follow-ups, and reminders through various communication channels.
- Offer housing information to property owners, assisting them in understanding housing laws and regulations.
- Resolve property management challenges and address property owner concerns, acting as a strong community advocate and liaison.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in the AMS/CRM application.
- Stay informed about current housing legislation, laws, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Provide training through online applications, instructional videos, and guided sessions.
- Consistently meet targets and prepare reports for management.
- Participate in planning and attending community events to provide educational support.
- 3-5 years of experience in client service, residential support, sales, or related fields.
- 2-3 years of experience in housing policy, real estate, property management, community nonprofit work, or paralegal roles.
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with individuals while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks and multitasking with effective problem-solving skills.
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive applications.
- Familiarity with AMS/CRM systems and experience in organizing and analyzing data.
- Ability to interpret various forms of instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats.
- Multi-lingual fluency is an advantage.
