Position Overview: Custodial and Grounds Maintenance Specialist
Key Responsibilities
The Custodial and Grounds Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and safe operation of Fred Finch Youth & Family Services facilities, which includes both owned and leased properties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing landscaping and custodial duties to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Ensuring the facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Work Schedule
Full Time - Hourly; Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Compensation
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is between $20.48 and $33.36 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, or a minimum of four (4) years of experience in general facility maintenance.
- Valid California Driver's License (or the ability to obtain one within 10 days of hire) with a good driving record.
- At least one (1) year of general maintenance experience in building and equipment upkeep, including carpentry and repairs.
- A minimum of one (1) year of plumbing maintenance experience.
- Proficient in using various shop equipment and tools.
- Knowledgeable about building materials and their applications.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Understanding of occupational hazards and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with co-workers and staff.
- Basic computer skills and aptitude for using computer-based technologies, such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
