CNC Programming Specialist

Position Overview:
As a CNC Programming Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to create, test, and refine CNC programs utilizing MasterCam software. Your expertise will drive efficiency and productivity within our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, test, and adjust CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machines using MasterCam software.
2. Analyze and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and geometric dimensions to plan machining tasks effectively.
3. Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machinery to execute complex machining operations.
4. Monitor production output, ensuring precision and making necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
5. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to clarify work order requirements and resolve machining challenges.
6. Uphold safety standards by adhering to established procedures and regulations.
7. Mentor and support less experienced operators and machinists.
8. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
9. Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance technical knowledge and job performance.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the engineering sector.
2. Proficient in MasterCam programming for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines.
3. Comprehensive understanding of machine setup and CNC operations.
4. Ability to read and interpret intricate blueprints and engineering documents.
5. Strong grasp of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a knack for troubleshooting complex machining issues.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on mentoring junior team members.
8. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
9. High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
10. Certification from a technical institution or trade association is advantageous.
