Key Responsibilities: The following duties are essential to the role. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
- Conducts initial inspections on bare PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) in accordance with IPC-A-600 standards.
- Performs inspections on incoming electrical and mechanical components.
- Assesses workmanship quality to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry benchmarks.
- Confirms the accuracy of documentation, including Certificates of Conformity, First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, and testing data.
- Executes conformal coating inspections as directed by the Group Leader.
- Adheres to established protocols for identifying and managing nonconforming materials.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to develop quality inspection strategies.
- Oversees and disseminates inspection reports.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the electronics manufacturing sector.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in reading and communicating in English.
- Basic knowledge of component identification and soldering techniques.
- Experience with MICRO-VU camera-based measurement systems is preferred, along with programming skills for MicroVu.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools such as micrometers and calipers is essential.
- Comfortable interpreting customer documentation and utilizing digital manufacturing execution systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
