This role will primarily concentrate on servicing Forte's clients, delivering comprehensive accounting services and financial assistance. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in maintaining precise financial records, preparing tax submissions, and collaborating with both local and remote clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Oversee and uphold accurate financial records for Forte and its clients
  • Prepare sales tax, business tax, franchise & excise tax, and property tax returns
  • Examine financial reports for inaccuracies, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with remote clients and stakeholders
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and support to Forte's clients
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of accounting procedures and systems
  • Ensure precise and efficient accounting processes
  • Manage A/P & A/R processes using various platforms
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing certification is advantageous
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software, with QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor being preferred
  • High level of technical proficiency in learning and utilizing digital tools
  • Working knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets
  • Experience with expense management platforms
  • Strong spreadsheet skills for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling
  • Experience with project management platforms to track and monitor client projects
Work Environment
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Sponsorship is not available.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary range of $60k-$70k, based on experience
  • Three weeks (120 hours) of PTO, plus several paid holidays
