MEP Preconstruction Team Lead

Holder Construction is a leading construction company with a strong presence in the United States. We are currently seeking a highly skilled MEP Preconstruction Manager to join our team in Atlanta.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage MEP preconstruction activities, including estimating, design management, and subcontractor/vendor procurement.
  • Communicate with electrical/mechanical equipment vendors, electrical/mechanical design engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare comparative analysis of previous estimates and develop a clear explanation of variances for project stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate teams of preconstruction engineers to develop a complete scope of work centered around MEP systems.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of subcontractor and vendor bid proposals, including recommendations for award.
  • Train and develop preconstruction engineers for technical and non-technical development in MEP systems.
  • Represent Holder Construction at design/coordination meetings, industry events, and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Ownership for creation, updating, and presentation of project deliverables and tools to clients.
  • Support meetings with owners, architects, and engineers for all aspects of the preconstruction phase.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of preconstruction experience specific to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Building Automation Systems/Power Monitoring Systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical, HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and civil plans, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of MEP Systems and equipment.
  • Experience leading a team of MEP Project Engineers/Estimators.
  • Outstanding communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, including:
