Position Overview:


Turner Construction is seeking a Mechanical-Electrical Project Supervisor to oversee, guide, and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and trade personnel for Mechanical and Electrical systems on various projects.

The role encompasses ensuring safety standards, timely project delivery, quality assurance, and budget compliance. The Mechanical-Electrical Project Supervisor will manage Assistant Supervisors, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade staff within their designated area.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or MEP Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, quality assurance, and staffing levels of trade employees.
  • Address local issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and scheduling.
  • Mentor and supervise Assistant Supervisors, Field Engineers, and interns.
  • Uphold strict adherence to ethical standards and compliance regulations.
  • Formulate and execute recovery plans to maintain project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Liaise with owners and architects/engineers regarding field-related matters.
  • Manage the invoicing process and supervise the monthly assessment of completed work.
  • Ensure installation complies with approved contract specifications.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
  • Engage in preconstruction activities such as constructability reviews and logistics planning.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of six years in mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction. Familiarity with building construction practices, scheduling, cost control procedures, and contract documentation is essential. Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, building information modeling, and relevant software applications is preferred. Strong communication and leadership abilities are critical.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the physical capability to ascend stairs and ladders, navigate construction sites, and lift/move objects. Specific vision capabilities and manual dexterity are also necessary.

Work Environment:

The role involves regular on-site work at construction locations, which may expose the individual to various hazards. Noise levels can vary from moderate to very loud.
